Young And The Restless Scoop July 9: Jack’s Furious About Billy’s Deal With Sally – Phyllis Spills The Beans To Cane

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, July 9 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will lose it on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will ask Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) for a favor. Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will tell Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) the Newman family knows what he’s been up to.

Y&R spoilers tease Nick will tell Sharon that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) showed up to warn everyone about Cane. He’ll also say Phyllis still wants to team up with Cane, even though he pushed back on her plans.

“I did tell her something Cane did that proved he’s untrustworthy,” he’ll add. Sharon will say Cane and Phyllis have a lot in common, feeling overlooked and undervalued. Nick will admit he doesn’t think he made an impact, but there’s someone else who might be able to get through to Phyllis. “You mean me?” a surprised Sharon will ask.

Meanwhile,  Cane will approach Phyllis, who will tell him she’s daydreaming about everyone’s future meltdowns. She’ll tell him pining over a lost love is going to distract him from his scheme. But he’ll assure Phyllis that whatever he feels for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), it’s not going to interfere with his plans for Genoa City.

Then Phyllis will say the Newmans know what he’s up to. “That you’ve been going to Genoa City and you’ve been scoping out real estate, they know that,” she’ll blab. So, Cane will say if she figures out how the Newman’s got that information, it would be worth a great deal. “For you, or for me?” Phyllis will reply.

But before he gets a chance to answer, Nick and Sharon will come along. Nick will talk to Cane and remind him he’s protective of his family. So, he’ll ask if they have anything to worry about. “Nick, I have no doubt the Newmans will always be fine,” Cane will reply and he’ll shake Nick’s hand.

As for Sharon, she’ll stroll over to Phyllis and she hopes they didn’t interrupt anything important. “I’m so tired of this game, it’s like the ultimate triangle,” Phyllis will reply. Sharon will ask what she means. “Nick told me I have to pick a side,” Phyllis will say. “So, don’t act like we have a meaningful connection and then lie to my face.”

She’ll add that Nick gave them a reason to hate each other and he’s still doing it.  Sharon will say she can keep on ranting. “Or, you can just tell me what side you picked.” Phyllis will say she hasn’t chosen a side yet but she’ll admit she has no history with Cane. “But with everybody else, they see me as a mistake.”

Young And The Restless Scoop – Billy Has A Gut Feeling About This

Finally, Billy and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will run into Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in the dining area. They’ll chat about whether or not Cane’s going to invest in Abbott Communications. Sally will give Billy a look and Jack will ask if there’s something he needs to know.

So, Billy will tell his brother he wants to help Cane get Chancellor back. “Damn it Billy, you said you were past that!” Jack will reply. But Billy will say he knows Cane well and if he helps him get it back, it’s something he can’t walk away from.

“What about Abbott Communications?” Jack will ask. “I invested in it to give you something to focus on?” However, Billy will say he has an agreement with Sally that she can run it. Jack will tell Sally it’s no insult to her, then he’ll turn to his brother. “How could you make a decision like that without consulting me first?!”

But Billy will tell him Sally’s his person and he trusts her. “I didn’t do this for Sally, I did it for you!” Jack will shout. “It was a gift of love and faith.” But now he’s decided to go back to chasing dreams that never come true.

Billy will say he knows in his gut this is what he needs to do. “It’s still the thrill of the win for you,” Jack will reply. “What else can hold your attention for more than a year or two, besides your hatred for Victor?” Billy will remind Jack he himself was fueled on hatred for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for years.

Jack will tell him he can’t measure his life by his victories over Victor. “It’s a mistake Billy and it throws your common sense right out the window,” he’ll add. “Be very careful, after all is said and done, that you don’t screw yourself out of two companies.”
